The Kent attraction, which has a number of vintage fairground rides, went into administration in May but remains open.
The next phase of work is being funded by a Coastal Communities Fund grant which Thanet council secured in 2014.
Operator Sands Heritage called in administrators in May, 11 months after the park reopened following an £18m restoration.
They decided the park would continue to trade while efforts were made to turn the business around.
